Certification Paths

Wellness & Health Coach Certification (32 hours)

The Wellness & Health Coach Certification core training is a 32 hour certification program designed for the participant who want to add wellness / health coaching skills to their existing professional education.

Certification Information:

Though we do not charge extra for Certification there are added requirements to becoming Certified as a Wellness and Health Coach. To acheive this distinction you must successfully complete the 32 hour core Wellness & Health Coach Certification class, final exam, 5 buddy coaching sessions, and a written casestudy. Once certified you may use the credentials CWHC after your name and our certification seal. Certification is granted in 2 year blocks to ensure the continued growth of our CWHC coaches with 10 CE's a year (see renewal process below) To honor the integrity of the program - no more than 2 classes maybe missed to become certified.

Professional Wellness & Health Coach Certification (75 hours)

While the Real Balance - core Wellness & Health Coach Certification training program provides core skills to help health professionals become competent health and wellness coaches, this advanced 75-hour program gives coaches a path to masterful coaching and accreditation with the International Coach Federation. The Professional Coach Path is designed to assist students who desire to deepen their coaching skills and/or are pursuing the ICF Professional Coach Credential via the Portfolio Process.

Certification Information:

To acheive this distinction you must successfully complete the 32 hour core Wellness & Health Coach Certification Certification, the Advanced Wellness Coaching Competencies: Practice and Application (20 hours 28 ICF approved coach specific training hours), Mentor Coaching Group, and choice of electives to acheive the 75 contact hours and submit all audio recordings and paperwork for review. Certification is granted in 3 year blocks to ensure the continued growth of our CPWHC coaches with 10 CE's a year (see renewal process below)

Certification Renewal Information for Both Certification Paths:

Purpose of Recertification

The purpose of periodic recertification is to ensure and maintain a high standard of competency for certified coaches beyond the initial two year period following successful passing of certification process.

RECERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Apply for Certification Renewal within 30 days of your renewal due date.

Pay the required application/processing/ mailing fee:

$75 for a Certified Health and Wellness Coach (having completed and certified in our core training program)
$125 for a Professional Certified Health and Wellness Coach (having completed and certified in our advanced, 10 month program)

*The payment link for these fees will be sent to you upon completion of the Coach Recertification Application

All CCE acquired outside of Real Balance must demonstrate a relationship to the wellness & health coaching skill set.
