The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have proposed a new national payment pathway for health and wellness coaching as part of the CY 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule. The proposal addresses payment for CPT codes 0591T–0593T and includes provisions related to service valuation, supervision, coach qualifications, telehealth, and potential dedicated HCPCS G-codes.
